Planning or delivering careers education in a local school or college?
INSET courses and occasional network meetings are provided for staff involved In the planning or delivery of careers education in schools and colleges in the Wakefield District.
Training is free and a contribution to supply cover costs is given in respect of teachers from LA maintained schools.
“On Track”, a newsletter issued to schools and colleges in September, contains details of the courses and an application form. Further information is circulated as each course approaches.

Are you interested in obtaining a qualification?
Interested in obtaining a qualification in Advice and Guidance or in Learning and Development and Support Services for Children, Young People and Those Who Care for Them?
Our NVQ Centre offers NVQ qualifications at level 2,3 and 4 in Advice and Guidance and NVQ level 4 in LDSS.
We also offer the A1 assessor’s award for those people who are qualified and wish to train as an assessor.
Our NVQ Centre has been recognised as of high standard by our Awarding Bodies – OCR and Edexel and as such holds direct claim status on the awards we offer.
