Get Connected – North Yorkshire 1st October 2005 to 31st December 2007

Funded through the Government Office Direct Funding (ESF Objective 3).
Get Connected works with 50 unemployed young people aged 16-19 who are at risk of being categorised NEET (Not in Employment, Education or Training). A varied menu of activities and enhanced advice and guidance support enables individuals to develop proactive and continuous job search strategies, ultimately preventing long term unemployment. Delivered to groups of 10 young people over a course of 5 days, spread across 4 weeks, key features of Get Connected include mentoring by Personal Advisers, away days (team/ confidence building), CV development and writing, action planning and employer visits.
