M2P (Meet to Progress) 1st April 2005 – 31st March 2007

Funded through Government Office Direct Funding (ESF Objective 3) M2P is a Guidance Services led, Connexions North Yorkshire partnership project targeting 300 unemployed young people aged 16-19 in Scarborough, Harrogate, Skipton and York who are at risk of becoming NEET (not in employment, education or training).

Focusing on intensive mentoring, advice and enhanced guidance to encourage progression to employment, M2P supports young people experiencing wide-ranging and multiple disadvantages by moving them closer towards recognised outcomes, thus preventing them moving into long-term unemployment.

M2P has been developed in consultation with agencies across York and North Yorkshire committed to, and vastly experienced in, the delivery of informed, targeted support for disadvantaged young people. Guidance Services Ltd thanks, Connexions North Yorkshire, the Youth Offending Team in North Yorkshire, York Youth Offending Team and the Young People’s Accommodation Panel in York for their support and advice.
